Most people who visit Florence have a day — sometimes two — when they want to get out of the city. The problem is the options. There are bus tours that leave at 7:30am, stop at the same vineyards and souvenir shops as every other bus, and return to Florence by 6pm whether you are ready or not. There are rental cars, which means navigating Tuscany's white roads and unmapped farmhouse driveways without knowing where you are going. And there is a private tour.

A private day tour from Florence means your driver arrives at your hotel at whatever time you choose. The destination is the one you want — Lucca and Pisa, Siena and the Chianti hills, San Gimignano, the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Portofino on the Italian Riviera, the marble quarries above Carrara, a day trip to Venice. The itinerary is yours to adjust on the day. If you want to stay longer at a monastery in the Val d'Orcia or skip a stop entirely, your driver adapts. Nobody is waiting for you.

We have been running private city tours in Tuscany since 2004. In that time we have driven guests to wine estates, truffle farms, hilltop villages, medieval towers, seaside promenades and factory outlets. The geography of Tuscany is remarkable — within two hours of Florence you can be at the coast, in the mountains, in one of the finest medieval cities in Europe or crossing into Liguria. The only limit is what you want to do with your day.

Every tour in our catalogue has a suggested itinerary — a starting point that works well for most guests. But every itinerary is open to modification.
