Across the spine of Italy — through Bologna, Ferrara or the Veneto hills. A journey most travellers never make by car. Yours to design.
Private Transfer — Florence to Venice
Through the Po Valley, the medieval towers of Ferrara, the engines of Maranello — or straight to the lagoon, if you prefer.
Florence and Venice are two of the most visited cities in the world — yet the road between them, across the broad plain of the Po Valley, is almost entirely unknown to tourists. Most people take the train and arrive at Santa Lucia station having seen nothing but darkness and the occasional car park. A private transfer is a completely different proposition.
Your Mercedes driver picks you up directly from your hotel, villa or apartment anywhere in Florence. No shared shuttles, no station queues, no changing trains in Bologna. We come to your door, load your luggage, and take you all the way to Venice — to a water taxi pier, your hotel entrance, or as close to your exact address as the city allows.
The direct transfer from Florence to Venice takes approximately 3 hours. But the road north passes through some of the most historically rich — and least visited — cities in northern Italy.
Ferrara, the Renaissance city of the Este dynasty, with its extraordinary castle and perfectly intact medieval walls — one of the great overlooked cities of Italy. The walled medieval town of Monselice in the Euganean Hills, rising dramatically from the flat plain with its castle complex and ancient Via Sacra. Padova, home to one of Europe's oldest universities and the Cappella degli Scrovegni, with Giotto's frescoes considered among the greatest works of Western art.
And then there is Maranello — the most requested stop on this route. Home to Ferrari. The Museo Ferrari is one of the most visited attractions in Emilia-Romagna, and for good reason. Whether you are a motorsport enthusiast or simply curious, the factory town and its museum are unlike anywhere else in Italy. Prices for Maranello and Modena stops are available on request — contact us when you book.
We drop off anywhere in Venice and the surrounding area — Piazzale Roma, the cruise terminal, Mestre, the Lido, Marco Polo Airport and private addresses throughout the Veneto. If it has an address, we go there.
The journey from Florence to Venice does not have to be something you endure on a train. With a private vehicle, a flexible driver and a route designed around what you actually want to see, it can be one of the most memorable days of your trip.

The food capital of Italy, and one of its most underrated cities. The Two Towers, the longest portico in the world, the covered food market of the Quadrilatero — and the best tagliatelle al ragù you will ever eat. Add 2–3 hours.
The most requested stop on this route. Maranello is the home of Ferrari: the factory, the test track, and the Museo Ferrari with its extraordinary collection of road cars and Formula 1 machines. A detour from the direct route — price confirmed separately. Add 2–4 hours.
One of the great overlooked cities of northern Italy. The Castello Estense rising from the centre of the city, the extraordinary Renaissance urban plan, the perfectly intact medieval walls wide enough to cycle on top. UNESCO World Heritage since 1995 — and most tourists have never heard of it. Add 1.5–2 hours.
Abano Terme — Italy's most famous thermal spa resort in the Euganean Hills. Natural hot springs and a completely different pace. Add 1–3 hours depending on whether you book a treatment in advance.
Padova — home to one of Europe's oldest universities and the Cappella degli Scrovegni, Giotto's frescoed masterpiece. The Basilica di Sant'Antonio draws pilgrims from across the world. Just 30 minutes from Venice. Add 1.5–2 hours.
Dropped off at Piazzale Roma, the cruise terminal, the water taxi piers or Mestre — as close to your hotel or final destination as Venice allows. We also serve Marco Polo Airport, the Lido and all addresses throughout the Veneto region.
